A TDS metre is a device that measures the Total Dissolved Solids in water. The meter itself measures the conductivity of salts, minerals and organic compounds in the water and give an approximate reading. The TDS-21 meter can read TDS, Dissolved Salt, water temperature, conductivity, and resistivity.

TDS is a total measurement of all types of compounds in water including salt and mineral, whereas salinity is the measurement of the amount of salt that is dissolved in the water sample.

The maximum TDS and Salt the meter can read is 40 000ppm, please be aware that the accuracy of the meter is guaranteed to 20 000ppm.

There are 6 functions that can be calibrated, and it is best to check the manual for calibration instructions, however, the most calibrated function is the salt test. To calibrate the Salt
